Worked for me too last weekend - I was at a 30th and used my phone to claim, luckily I can now post on the forum from my phone too - my problem was that I was searching for Quanti using Yahoo.... And when I clicked on it it brought up a mobile version, but when I went to "enter address" and typed in www.quanti.co.uk it brought up the full version and lets me post on the forum (albeit slowly) and claim etc...

Thank you for this suggestion. We have though about making a mobile version of the forum which will would have slightly less features (i.e. no WYSIWYG editor and emoticons) and a bit less graphics etc. but would work faster and would be easier accessible from mobile devices (i.e. narrower size).
The problem is we do not have a mobile browser here to test it (however I have found a simulator here - Quanti looks really messy but it has not been tested for mobile devices) and taking into account that very few people would probably use it it's towards the bottom of our "to do" list.
I can have a look whether it would be something we can put together for the benefit of a few people but it may be in October since we are snowed under other projects.
Assuming it would be in place - would you use it?
 

 

I personally would only use it to see if my name was up, and in this case I can do and can access forum without any modifications so I wouldn't need anything else done for it, I can certainly post on the forum at a later date / time etc if my phone suddenly stopped me from doing it.
 
I think most people would think the same about using it for the randomizer and as long as they can log in etc to claim then i don't see many other people wanting anything different done.
 
Just my opinion, but I would leave it at the bottom of the pile as both myself and seagull have proven that you can claim by using your phone, so if we can do it then I assume others can as well and don't see that making any modifications at your end would be any more worthwhile.... I don't see anyone using their phone for doing daily clicks... I certainly wouldn't!
 
Although after reading what seagull has posted again, with some people unable to post on the forum then having another version would be beneficial or they may not have as many entries into competitions etc which wouldn't be so good!!
 
I dunno then... Let's see what anyone else thinks then we'll leave it in your capable hands!

I would say, don't bother with prioritising a mobile version of the site or even the forum, but maybe see if there is an easier way of allowing people to post messages from a mobile browser that doesn't allow normal posting..  that said, don't waste time doing that when you've got lots of other things to do, I'm sure people here will realise if and when a claim is made and no posts made subsequently that the reason is using a mobile.

It's just strange that you can't seagull, how do you go to Quanti? Do you do a search then click through, or do you type in the site address? Coz that made a big difference to me!
 
I couldn't even log in to my Account using Yahoo Search on my mobile, but typing in the address more or less gives me full functionality of this site - just can't use the emoticons as people probably noticed when I claimed at the weekend.
 
It is handy now though that I can claim if my name comes up!! Came in very handy last weekend! I'd have otherwise missed out on £2.80...

Yes it is strange, I think it must be something in Opera Mini that doesn't like whatever loads up input boxes on this forum. I have tried typing it directly in and also via search, also have tried the browser in 'Mobile' mode and in Full Mode, no joy.
